Founded at the Paul Scherrer Institut, the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland, we have access to latest technology and highly qualified personnel. The team from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich), the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (FHNW) has profound synthetic and technology expertise on metal-organic frameworks and is supported by a distinguished set of scientific advisors and board members.

Our MOF production facilities are located on the production site and headquarter of Siegfried AG, a global life sciences company active in primary and secondary drug manufacturing, in the heart of Switzerland‘s industrial canton Aargau.

Daniel is co-founder and CEO of novoMOF AG. He holds a master degree in Chemical and Bioengineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Science and Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) and has been working in the group of Professor Jeroen A. van Bokhoven. Before incorporating novoMOF AG, Daniel worked at the Paul Scherrer Institute on metal-organic frameworks under the supervision of Dr. Marco Ranocchiari. Since February 2017, Daniel is in charge of managing the PSI-spinoff.

Gerald is CTO of novoMOF AG. He received his MSc in Technical Chemistry at the TU in Vienna under joint supervision of Prof. Karl Kirchner, UT Vienna, and Prof. Kazushi Mashima, University of Osaka. Subsequently, he joined the lab of Prof. Xile Hu at EPFL investigating organo-metallic iron complexes in coupling reactions, for which he was awarded his PhD in 2015. Before joining novoMOF AG in 2018, Gerald was working at the Paul Scherrer Institute utilising metal-organic frameworks in catalytic reactions. Gerald is in charge of process development and MOF production.

Guglielmo is Head of Global Sales of novoMOF AG and responsible for our new business development. He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. In previous positions he was managing sales departments of leading global companies in the field of advanced materials. Furthermore, he was responsible for business development and specialised projects within semiconductors, healthcare, oil and gas, aerospace and automotive industries.

Before joining novoMOF, Niklas has gained experience in sales and marketing in various positions and is responsible for all marketing activities.
